About Wordforge

Wordforge is a vocabulary learning app for children aged 9โ€“11 preparing for UK 11+ selective school entrance exams. It is operated by David Anderson in the United Kingdom. Wordforge is currently in a closed pilot available to invited users only.

Who can use Wordforge

Wordforge accounts must be created by a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are based in the United Kingdom (pilot is UK-only)
  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child or children who will use the app
  • You have read and agreed to our Privacy Policy

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at d.a.m.anderson@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

One account may contain up to three child profiles.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Wordforge for any purpose other than supporting your child's vocabulary learning
  • Share your invite link with people outside your family
  • Attempt to access, scrape, or copy the word content, questions, or any other material from the app
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the service in any way that could harm Wordforge, its users, or third parties

Intellectual property

All content in Wordforge โ€” including word definitions, sample sentences, question formats, the Vex character and branding โ€” is owned by Wordforge and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our permission.

Service availability

Wordforge is a pilot product. We aim to keep it running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, and we will do our best to give reasonable notice when we do.

During the pilot, Wordforge is provided free of charge.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wordforge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, during the free pilot, is zero).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Wordforge after that point means you accept the updated terms.
